Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
Patient History: 16-year-old girl with 50 degree scoliosis. Presented with 100% back pain. She had tried physical therapy and home exercise. The intensity of her back pain was increasing.
Surgery: Patient underwent T3-L1 scoliosis correction and fusion.
Outcome: Patient did very well with surgery. There were no hospital complications. She was discharged home after 3 days in the hospital. She is now 1 year and 3 months status post surgery. She is happy with results of surgery. She does not have any limitation or pain complaints. She has returned to her favorite hobby as a dancer.
